The man in the moon is smiling at me again;
His full disc face and his icy grin.
A cool mint breeze chicken skins my surface.
Comes deep from the winters lungs with a freezing purpose.
All summer i yearned for the flames of the soul rising fire.
Now my wood is all burn’t, and extinguished all my desire.
My longest days seem to have approached in the shortest one.
If sleep was my steak, it would be well underdone.
Now we have dug our selves to the bottom of winters hole.
At least we are looking up,
with still a long way to go.

The subtle breeze surfed in on a gust.
Somehow under the shelter of the hill,
it loss all the fuss.
Mellowed out and danced through the trees.
Kissed the cheeks of the witnesses,
brought a slight buzz of the bees.
Crows of the distance,
whinge of the winds punch.
It unsettles their search,
for some lonesome scavenging lunch.
They know not of the bliss pocket,
only encountering a sweet breeze.
Whispering gently in my ear,
till the stars grow above the trees.

The man with the white blanket chases me down this early corridor.
His fingers cover my eyes,
only can i focus on the floor.
This ant track fixes my direction,
nose tasting the fresh breeze.
Mystical twisted tree revealed for a second,
just in view for a tease.
Its arms pointed skyward,
as if reaching and pulling the energy down from above.
Long he has seen the passing of the ants and gives them the breath of his love.

Through the granite gates and onto the range.
Frosty foggy mornings, so beautiful and strange.
River runs to kookaburra laughter.
Free from the strain of the mining plunder.
Willow dips its finger tips into the cool flow.
The white body forest waits for the eastern glow.
The land where the sun meets the crystals in the sky.
No clearer site, tear forms as a cool breeze hits the eye.
Beautiful fresh air, sunlight highlights the Sheoak’s hair.
Birds play in the morning sun, like your not even there.
More days like these please, a world growing rarity.
